Blackwell Convergence - Unused Main Theme

The Blackwell Convergence means an awful lot to me! It's predecessor, Blackwell Unbound, was the game that ignited my gamemusic-career and Dave Gilbert is one of my good friends. Shortly after I received the very first sketches in early 2008 I have been writing music for the game in my head. I was unsure if I wanted to continue the jazzy style from Unbound and wrote this semi-contemporary pop-orchestral tune long before there was anything remotely resembling a game. When the game started to take shape, however, I realized that this was much too "big" and decided to go with a really smooth late nite jazz style instead. But this is still a pretty good tune I think.
